SCENARIO:
Below, I've included a magazine article that discusses research. Before you can use this information in your research, you need to find the original research study that is discussed in the article and verify the facts.

TASKS:

  1. Note the following details from the magazine article (indicated with red boxes):
    • Lead author's name: _______________
    • Co-author's name: _______________
    • Name of journal where this research is reported: _______________
    • Number of participants recruited for the study: _______________
    • Topics investigated in the research (I'll give you this one): sleep quality, mental arousal, binge watching television
  2. Go to the library homepage and click on the last tab: JOURNAL TITLES
    1. ​Type in the name of the journal where the research was reported and search.
    2. In the following screen, click on "Full Text Access".
    3. Select the first option "EBSCO Open Access Journals".
    4. Search for the topics I've given to you in section 1 (above).
    5. Does the article match the following data?
      • Lead author
      • Co-author
      • Number of participants
