Graduate & Online Students: Accounts & Logins

• All current students of Western Colorado University have a library account. 
  • If you find that you cannot access your library account, please contact us. We would be happy to activate your account for you.
• Access your Library account with the barcode number (on the back of your Western ID card)
  • If you do not have a Western ID card, please contact us so that we may give you your barcode number.
•  From your account, you will be able to:
  • View a list of items you have checked out
  • View when items are due
  • Renew items
  • Save searches
  • Create lists of items
  • Open and download ebooks and audiobooks
• A link to your account can be found in our catalog and on our website header. Or, just click HERE.

To access library accounts, some ebooks/audiobooks, and to request ILL or Prospector items:

Library Account Number (417000#######)  and Library Password (not your Western password; reset my pin to create or change it)

Contact the library if you have questions or issues.

To access databases:

Blackboard Learn login (your Western username and password) is the same used to access Canvas. 

Note: your computer may remember this information, so you will not need to enter it again later.

Contact IT Services if you have forgotten your network login.

If you encounter an error while searching/accessing a database, contact your librarian.

To access your personal account in a database:

These accounts are often not Western-related. They are free accounts you have set up on your own and, if forgotten, you will need to use a username/password recovery option provided by the database.

An example of this is Western OneSearch - you'll need to use your Bb Learn login (Western username/password) to access OneSearch, but can create and log into the platform to save things to your folder.

Alternatively, you may be able to save articles to Google Drive and/or Microsoft OneDrive if the database has this feature enabled.
