Accounts & Logins
Library Account Number (417000#######) and Library Password (not your Western password). To create or reset your password, click "Login" and choose reset my password.
Contact the library if you have questions or issues.
When attempting to use a licensed library database off-campus, you must use the links available on the library website on the Database A-Z List. You can also access Western OneSearch using the search bar on the Library Homepage. Using these links will prompt you to enter your network login to access library-licensed content. Your network login is your Western username and your password (the same password you use for other WCU services such as Outlook and Canvas).
Generally, bookmarked links and links from Google searches for databases do not work.
If access problems persist…
Clear cookies/caches on the computer.
Try a different browser (and possibly update your browser).
Check firewall or virus scanner settings.
You may not be using your correct Western Login. You can contact Western IT Services if you do not know your Western Login.
If all actions above fail, contact Electronic Resources Coordinator, Tristan Buss, for more assistance.
These accounts are often not Western-affiliated. They are free accounts you have set up on your own and, if forgotten, you will need to use a username/password recovery option provided by the database.
An example of this is Western OneSearch - you'll need to use your Bb Learn login (Western username/password) to access OneSearch articles, but can create and log into the platform (e.g., MyEBSCO) to save things to your personal folder.
Alternatively, you may be able to save articles to Google Drive and/or Microsoft OneDrive if the database has this feature enabled.
