Edward Weismiller (1915-2010) was an award winning poet and literary scholar. In 2012 his family generously donated over 170 books from his personal library to the Western Colorado University library. Published between 1850's and 1990's most of the donated works concern the poetry of John Milton and the study of literary prosody. Many volumes contain notes by or inscriptions to Mr. Weismiller. The Gift was facilitated by Dana Gioia, former Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts and a member of the Advisory Board of the Poetry Concentration in Western's MFA Program.
This non-circulating collection is available as a resource to all library patrons and is available through the library catalog.
